We did meet Barbi and Joost at their house in Chatelus. It’s a small hamlet in the Creuse department, in the middle of France. We contacted them via www.mindmyhouse.com They have a spacious house on a big property and we have taken care of their 8 cats and 2 hens. Of course, all with different characters and some of the cats needed daily medication. Really funny setting and we still compare them with the other housesit we have completed after this one. Barbi and Joost are very easygoing. The most important thing for them are their cats. We provided them some videos during our stay and they appreciated it. After this sit we agreed immediately for a second sit for Joost and Barbie/ We really enjoyed the free feeling and the outdoor vibe. We explored the area and we had very good weather which made this a very nice experience.

Smart, caring friendly couple

Iwan and Kirsten are the best things that happened to us during a terrible year. My mother broke her hip and is now in a wheelchair, my mother-in-law died and one of our cats died as well. But they were there for us. They came to our house so that I could visit my 89-year-old mother in the US. And now they’re coming back so that we can go to Holland and clear out my mother-in-law‘s apartment for sale. I don’t know what I would’ve done without them. They are extremely reliable, communicative, kind and just all-around good people. They left the house so clean it was like a professional did it! And the most important thing was that they were so good with our cats. We have older cats with medical needs and they made sure that they ate and got their medication and kept an eye on them on a regular basis. It really meant the world to us and we never had to worry while we were far away in the United States. They are the perfect housesitters really, and I have nothing but good to say about them. If you need someone to take care of your house and/or your animals, you can’t go wrong with this lovely couple.
