We found this house and pet sit via www.housecarers.com We had an introduction call via Skype with Hetty and Alan before we started this house and pet sit. The property is inland, appr. 10 km from Almogia and 45 minutes’ drive from Malaga. The property is called Puerto El Penal and it’s a small hotel that’s active during the summer months. We stayed here to take care of Bella, a beautiful Galgo/Greyhound and Muisje, the shy cat. Bella that time, was appr. 2,5 years young. She behaved like a small dog and wanted to sit on our laps. She’s a very easy-going dog and she’s by your side the whole day. You can walk anywhere with her of leash. Muisje is a very nice cat, but she was intimidated by the posture of Bella, who didn’t do anything to scare Muisje. The main tasks during this sit were taking care of Bella and Muisje and make sure we got rid of the caterpillars that were present during this time of the year. We also removed the weeds in specific area’s and we kept the garden inside the big patio clean and tidy. Hetty and Alan are very open-minded and interesting persons. We did meet Alan and Hetty twice after this house sit. We visited them one time at their property and they visited us when we had another house sit 1 hour away from them. We like their positive ambiance and hopefully, we will meet again.
