Our story

We were both born in The Netherlands and we lived in Eibergen, a town close to the border with Germany. We lived 3 years together before we took the decision in 2000 to move to Curacao, a small but beautiful island in the Caribbean and part of the former Netherlands Antilles.

In January 2018, we made a life-changing decision: we sold everything — our home, cars, furniture, and belongings — to embrace a lifestyle of travel. This gave us the freedom to explore the world and live more intentionally.

In June 2018, we completed our very first house sit. Since then, we’ve had the pleasure of caring for many wonderful homes and pets in different places around the world.

Over time, we’ve built lasting connections with the majority of homeowners — many of whom have invited us back for repeat sits. These ongoing relationships mean a lot to us and are a big part of why we enjoy this lifestyle so much.

We often find ourselves smiling when we think back to the pets we’ve cared for and the homes we’ve looked after. Discovering house-sitting has truly been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made, and we’re grateful every day that it’s become our way of life.
