The second time we had the pleasure to look after the property and the pets from Roland and Nicole. We knew the dogs Teddy and Beer and the cat Elvis already, but this was the first time we had to look after a donkey! His name is Johnny and he’s a mini donkey. He is doing very well together with the dogs. He’s a real pet and walks also in the house if you have the doors open. We had to make sure he had always fresh water and once a day hay and some oat flakes. And some carrots as snacks in between. Of course we needed to do some poop scooping, but he had 2 places where he pooped, so that was easy to handle. Johnny and Teddy sometimes acted as adolescents, but only funny things, no problems at all. Because of the warmth the dogs didn’t want to walk too long, but we took them out every day. And Elvis the cat arrives in the morning for food, sleeps inside during the day, asks for attention in the evening and is out at night. This was another nice and sunny summer sit in Denia, with another unique experience thanks to Johnny, the mini donkey.
