This turned out as our new way of life! We had the privilege to start our house and pet sitting experience in Cadiar, Spain, for Ben. We had to take care of his small and easy-to clean townhouse in the center of Cadiar, a beautiful small mountain village in the Alpujarras, the Southern parts of the Sierra Nevada, Spain. We found Ben via www.mindmyhouse.com but we did not meet him before, during, or after the house sit. That’s what confidence is about between homeowners and house sitters. We only had some small tasks to do in the house, but we did not have any pets to take care of, so we had plenty of time to explore the area. The people in Cadiar are very friendly and interested in foreigners. Iwan did ride his road bike many times together with local road bike heroes Ramon and Gary. Gary and Sarah run their bike holiday company Vamos Cycling www.vamoscycling.com for more than 10 years in Cadiar and they know all the routes in the region. We visited many towns and cities in the area and it’s definitely a beautiful place to explore by bike or with your own car! We stayed here during the hot summer months and that was perfect for us. Nice long evenings with terraces filled with people. We loved it! Thanks Ben for trusting us.
