This was a special sit for our friends Kelly and Fred, whom we first met on Curaçao and later again on Aruba.

Kelly and Fred have a beautiful house close to the center of Maastricht. Maastricht is a very attractive and internationally oriented city in the south of the Netherlands, popular with both students and tourists. It is especially well known for its Christmas market, which made this winter sit extra enjoyable.

We were not very familiar with the southern part of the Netherlands, so we took the opportunity to explore the area. We also went to the gym regularly and enjoyed running and walking in the region, which is known for its many hiking and cycling routes.

During our stay, several friends came to visit, which made our free time even more enjoyable. Fred and Kelly had taken their newly adopted dog from Spain with them on their trip, so our responsibilities were mainly to keep an eye on the house and ensure the garden stayed clean and tidy — which was very easy during the winter period.

It is very special when friends trust you with their home. It reflects a strong bond of trust, which we greatly appreciate. We hope Kelly and Fred will enjoy many more holidays, as we would be happy to look after their home again in the future.
